Throughout my career, I have worked hands-on with the design, communications and positioning of climate strategies, funds and projects.  I work closely with corporate sustainability leaders, financial institutions, and governments to operationalise decarbonisation strategies, support climate investment decisions, and deliver climate projects across regions. I am highly familiar with managing multi-stakeholder processes, overseeing structured reporting, supporting internal guidance and training, and ensuring alignment between strategic ambition and operational delivery.

 

At the World Bank, I led carbon finance communications, including work with 12 innovative carbon funds and facilities like the world’s first REDD+ facility. I collaborated closely with fund donor governments, project proponents, NGOs and client countries. This role required a strong understanding of financial structures, approval processes and UNFCCC methodologies, reporting requirements, and the translation of complex investments into clear, decision-ready inputs for senior management and external stakeholders.

As Vice President for Voluntary Carbon Markets at MGM International, I worked directly with investors and corporate partners to develop and commercialise carbon projects, assess business cases, and strengthen investment pipelines. It gave me a strong commercial mindset and a practical understanding of how carbon funding mechanisms can be used to accelerate green tech deployment, manage risk, and deliver measurable decarbonisation outcomes.

As Global Head of Communications at the private consultancy firm South Pole, I was responsible for the communication around carbon projects and facilities, including ones that we developed for clients such as Mitsubishi, including the Next Gen Facility (CDRs).

I am well versed with climate technology implementation and sustainability strategies, and the risks pertaining to under- or overselling net zero strategies and ambition, in other words: green-washing and green-hushing.
